The OIT Systems & Applications group (OIT Systems) provides centralized products and services to students, faculty, and staff that enhance learning, teaching, and scholarship. Our staff of 14 make up the UMail, Directory/Authentication, Application Support and Hardware teams.
We provide/support a variety of email and web services, including:

- DNS Servers (in conjunction with NetOps)

- WebCT (in conjunction with TACC)

Identity Management
- OIT uNID Tools (providing OIT Account Administration for users and Delegated Administrators)
- Authorization & Authentication Services
- Provisioning for OIT
OIT Systems' current projects include:
- Central metadirectory development and maintenance which defines and supports central authentication and identity management
- Email system enhancements (Instant Messaging and Collaboration integration and expansion)
- Student and departmental storage area networks
