UIT - Campus Computer Support
UIT - Campus Computer Support (UCCS) provides computer support to University of Utah Campus organizations. We offer support models at various cost and service levels to best meet the needs of our customers.
UCCS offers many different services that can be used to support your area. Some of these services are:
- Onsite technical support, including:
- Hardware Installation and Support
- Software Installation and Support
- Software and OS Upgrades and Patching
- Server Consultation and Support
- Shared and Individual Disk Storage
- Connection to File Server and Disk Storage and Backup
- Physical Network Connections
- Email/PDA Integration Support
- Password maintenance
- Virus and Spyware Protection, Removal, and Education
- Security audits
- Email Client Support
- Campus IT Support Liaison
- Help Desk Services Available 24/7
Support Plans/Costs
Plan A
Hardware fully supported including warranty work, excluding Macintosh
• Managed workstation for logins and software
• Ability to remotely manage and off-site re-image PC's
• Inventory management for PC replacement and budget planning
• Active directory support
• Anti-virus and Microsoft Campus Agreement Included
• Hardware purchased through IT Asset Management leverages volume pricing
• Cost: $60 per machine per month
Plan B
Department chooses & purchases hardware to meet unique business needs, including Macintosh
• Support for multi-function printers
• Provides most flexibility for computer support needs
• Inventory documentation
• Active directory support
• Anti-virus and Microsoft Campus Agreement Included
• Cost: $126 per machine per month
Plan C (Hour Set)
10 Hours = $1,000
15 Hours = $1,350
20 Hours = $1,700
30 Hours = $2,400
Minimal computer support needs for department
Hours may be used for any support requested (7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
Additional requests for hours after initial Hour Set has been purchased will remain at the same rate--must be purchased in increments of 10.

Shared Disk Storage Rates
UCCS provides enterprise level disk storage where individual and departmental electronic data is stored and backed up on a routine basis.
50 GB = $50.00 per month
200 GB = $75.00 per month
500 GB = $100.00 per month
750 GB = $125.00 per month
1,000 GB = $150.00 per month
Additional user = $5.00 per month
Departmental storage space and personal storage space can not be combined for the same price—they are stand alone.
