Mac OS X Leopard Configuration Instructions for uconnect-PEAP

Setting uconnect on Mac OS 10.5

Mac OS X by default will choose PEAP and configure itself; the only thing the user will see is the pop-up window asking them to accept the certificate.

 

  • Click on the wireless icon up by the clock and select uconnect.utah.edu.

  • A window will appear and ask for your User Name and Password.
  • Enter your uNID in for the User Name and your uNID password in for the Password.

  • A prompt will come up asking if you want to allow the keychain to remember your password.
  • Click Always Allow.

  • Another prompt will come up stating that the certificate is not trusted.
  • Click Show Certificate.

  • It should show the radius01.utah.edu certificate under the Entrust.net Secure Server CA.
  • Check the box next to Always trust “radius01.utah.edu.”
  • Click the Continue button.
    Choose Certificate
  • The system will now verify your user name and password.
  • After a few moments you should be connected to uconnect.utah.edu.
