uconnect Wireless Network - Clientless Authentication
Configure your Windows Mobile 5 device for Uconnect with PEAP
Enable Your Wireless Adapter
- Go to Start and Settings.
- On the Connections tab go to Comm Manager.
- Tap the WiFi icon to enable the wireless adapter.
Turn Up Wireless Adapter Power
- Point to Start, select Settings.
- Select the Connections tab.
- Tap Wireless LAN.
- Drag the dial to Best Performance.
- Tap OK in the upper right corner.
Configure PEAP for uconnect.utah.edu
- Point to Start, select Settings.
- Select the Connections tab.
- Tap Network Cards.
- You will see the uconnect.utah.edu SSID in the list.
- Hold the pen down until the Connect box pops up.
- On the General tab you should see uconnect.utah.edu for the network name.
- On the Network Key tab, Authentication should be set to WPA.
- Data Encryption should be set to TKIP. The box should be checked.
- On the 802.1x tab after choosing PEAP, tap the OK button.
- At the Network Log On prompt, put your uNID in the User name field and enter your password.
- Be sure to check the Save password box and tap OK.
- The screen switches briefly back to Connecting.
- The status finally changes from Connecting to Connected.
