UMail Delegated Administration
Delegated Administration allows departments to manage UMail accounts within their domain. An OIT delegated admin role is created, which allows IT managers to manage OIT account information using uNID account tools (http://unid.utah.edu).
With delegated administration, IT managers within the department are the only ones allowed to create aliases for that domain. Additionally, IT managers can adjust mailbox quota, reset OIT services passwords, check mail box usage, view account history, and change a person's name in the address book.
mAKE a rEQUEST
IT managers can request access to admin roles, revoke access, and also request new or modified roles. To make a request, complete the applicable request form below and submit it to the UMail Team either by mail: 585 Komas, SLC, UT 84108; or fax: 801-585-3704.
