Click the Start button and select Control Panel. Click the Network Connections icon. The Network Connections window appears. Right mouse click over the Local Area Connection icon (your network connection name may vary) and choose Properties. In the Local Area Connection properties window, locate Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and double click on it. |

To manually set the IP Address and the DNS server addresses (assuming an IP Address of 155.98.99.120, a Subnet Mask of 255.255.255.128 and a Gateway Address of 155.98.99.1), your settings would look like this: Use the following IP address IP address: 155.98.99.120 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.128 Default gateway: 155.98.99.1
The University of Utah DNS Server Addresses are 155.101.201.10 and 155.101.115.10. Use the following DNS server addresses Preferred DNS server: 155.101.201.10 Alternate DNS server: 155.101.115.10 |

Click OK at the bottom of the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties window. Click OK at the bottom of the Local Area Connection Properties window. You may close the Network Connections window and continue with either the Configuration of the modem or accessing the Internet.
