Click on the
in
the Finder menu bar and choose System Preferences.
Click on Network.
In the Location drop down menu choose Automatic.
In the Show drop down menu choose Built-in
Ethernet.
Select the TCP/IP tab.
In the Configure drop down menu choose Using
DHCP.
Click the Apply Now button.
You can now close the windows.
Launch your Internet browser to make sure you get the WANA login
page or Internet access.

WANA has only been tested for Mac OS 8.6 and higher. However, any Mac OS using Open Transport V2 or higher should be able to use WANA services by following the steps below.
Open the TCP/IP Control
Panel
Click on the Apple (
) in the menu bar,
select TCP/IP. The following window appears.

Save the current settings.
Select Configurations from the File menu. Click the Duplicate button. Name this configuration 'WANA'. Click OK. Click the
Make Active button.
Choose Connect via Ethernet.
Click the Connect Via drop down menu and select Ethernet.
Choose Configure Using
DHCP Server
Click the Configure drop down menu and select Using DHCP
Server.
Close the TCP/IP control
panel.
Click the close box in the top left-hand corner. Save the
changes when prompted. You should now be able to receive
an IP address dynamically.
To connect to the campus network, open your web browser and connect to any web page. The WANA login page appears. Enter your network ID and password in the appropriate boxes. Click the Login button. A new page appears saying the login was successful. Quit the web browser and then open it again to complete the log on process. You are now connected to the campus network. If you do not get the WANA logon page or you cannot successfully logon to the campus network, please see the WANA troubleshooting information.
To restore your TCP/IP settings,
open the TCP/IP control panel. Select Configurations from the
File menu. Select Default (or the desired configuration) in the
Configurations list and click Make Active. Close the TCP/IP control
panel.
