Using Evolution and the UMail Global Address List
Configuring Evolution for the GAL
Once Evolution is configured, select File –> New –> Address Book.
In the Type drop down menu, select On LDAP Servers.
In the Name box, enter UMail.
In the Server box enter 'adam.umail.utah.edu'.
From the Port drop down menu, select 3268.
From the Use secure connection drop down menu, select TLS encryption.
Click on the Details tab.
In the Search base box, enter 'DC=umail,DC=utah,DC=edu'.
From the Search scope drop down, select Sub.
Click OK.
Testing the UMail Global Address Book
Under On LDAP Servers on the left hand side, select UMail.
In the drop down menu next to the search box, select Any field contains.
Enter your name in the search box and click Enter.
You should see your UMail Global Address List information appear.
