Unsupported Operating Systems

Some Internet-enabled handheld devices are not able to natively sync with Microsoft Exchange. These are not supported by campus. For PDAs and handheld devices that don't appear above, here are some basic steps that should allow you to set up synchronization with the UMail Exchange server. Please also work with your local mail administrator to see if your device will synchronize with UMail.

  • Important: Remove all software you are currently using to synch with a previous email system.
  • Use the software that came with your device (or download it from the vendor's website).
  • Use the vendor provided Outlook conduit.
  • Use the secure IMAP settings to configure an email client on your PDA.
