Palm activeSync with the UMail exchange system - BAsic Instructions
Basic instructions to configure Exchange Server ActiveSync synchronization between your handheld Palm PDA and your UMail account using Outlook 2003
Cradle ActiveSync
- Make sure that Outlook is installed on the pc.
- Install Hotsync and the Outlook conduits that came with the device.
(You need to use the CD that came with the device. If you don't have it, you can download it from palm support IF you have the device serial number.)
Then sync away.
Note: If you experience difficulty configuring your PDA device with the instructions given, contact your local LAN manager for help.
ActiveSync Over the Air
- Use uNID@umail.utah.edu for your email address and username
- Use www.umail.utah.edu for your server name
- Use “Exchange” or “Outlook” as your mail service type.
