Cellular Phone FAQs
What types of cell phones and plans can I choose from?
Departments and staff can choose from phones and plans from three vendors at this time: Cingular, Sprint and Verizon Wireless. Currently, students can take advantage of discounted Cingular Wireless phones and plans. Visit our website at www.it.utah.edu/services/phones/cellular.php. You'll need to login with your uNID and password to see the plans available to you, based on your campus role. Contact information for each vendor's representative(s) is on the website.
Do I still have to go through NetCom to get my department-paid cell phone?
No - department telephone coordinators can now work directly with vendors both to purchase plans and for billing. Departments may still go through NetCom for Cingular Wireless plans, if they prefer.
