How do I place a call to another campus phone?
Most phone numbers at the Univeristy of Utah have a prefix of 581, 585, or 587. When calling on-campus numbers, you may omit the 58 portion of the number and dial the last 5 digits. For example, 581-7200 may be dialed as 1-7200 from any campus phone.
How do I place an off-campus call?
Dial 9 + the 7-digit local number. Some courtesy telephones on campus can be used only to dial other campus extensions. For directory assistance, dial 9-1-411. Local directory assistance is a toll call.
