my new/unheard voicemail messages are being deleted.
how can i correct this?

A simple adjustment must be made in Outlook to your Reading Pane to avoid deleting new/unheard voicemail messages while scolling through e-mail messages in your Inbox. Take the following steps:

From the Toolbar

  • Click on Tools then
  • Click on Options

In the Options window

  • Click on the tab labeled Other
  • Click on the button labeled Reading Pane

In the Reading Pane window

  • Uncheck the box labeled Mark item as read when selection changes
  • Click on OK

After you have completed the above steps you can safely scroll through your list of e-mails and they will not be marked as already read or listened to.
