Notes: We are experiencing intermittent outgoing connectivity loss existing the Hospital network. It appears to be firewall related. We will keep you informed as the situation progresses.
Final Update: During the normal firewall change outage two issues presented themselves. The first thing that was noticed was that the Border firewall between the hospital and the campus became unresponsive for 1.5 hours. This lasted from 7 pm – 8:30pm. The firewall manufacture logged into the box and was unable to determine the cause of the issue.
The second issue was that a default route was passed to the disaster recovery firewall to resolve an existing issue. This change broke the HSC AD/Netapp system for the hospital. We rolled the changes back with a power cycle on the firewall.
