Power Load Shedding
The 585 Komas Production data center is planning on performing some power load shedding from the existing PDU’s to the new additional PDU’s that were brought online last Saturday successfully. This work will help return the data center to a redundant condition in the power infrastructure.
Work will begin at 7pm (1900 hours) and is expected to last approximately 1 hour. The scope of work will be moving Subpanels A-1 and B-1 from the existing A & B PDU’s over to the new PDU’s C & D. This will be done ONE (1) panel at a time thus always providing at least one (1) power feed at a time to the affected equipment racks. The effected equipment racks within the data center are to be redundantly connected or using static bypass transfer switches thus no actual downtime is expected from the connected equipment.
An all clear notification email &/or page will be sent out at the conclusion of the work. If there are any issues please follow the established downtime procedures and additional information will be communicated thru the helpdesk(s) and customer service groups.
Thank you.
