UEN NORMAL MAINTENANCE ANNOUNCEMENT
[UEN NORMAL MAINTENANCE ANNOUNCEMENT]
Purpose:
During this maintenance, UEN will be changing the MPLS/BGP routing design of the network to accommodate future growth and improve network performance.
Impact:
This maintenance is scheduled to have a larger interruption of service than previous maintenances. During the time of this maintenance all Internet connectivity should be considered unusable. Although some connected sites may find the outage sporadic at times, the network will not be stable. Please plan on complete service interruption during this window.
Scope:
This maintenance will effect ALL connected entities of the UEN Network. Additionally ALL UEN provided services such as WebCT/Vista etc. will not be available.
Duration:
Maintenance Begins: 2:00a Sunday August 2nd
Maintenance Concludes: 7:00a Sunday August 2nd
Actual Expected Duration is approximately 3-4 Hours, But there may be some connectivity issues up to 7:00a.
Performed by:
This maintenance will be performed by the greater UEN Engineering and Operations Staff. This maintenance is being facilitated and coordinated by Kevin Quire and Joe Clyde
