Structured Cabling
The University of Utah has designated NetCom with the responsibility of installing and maintaining cabling infrastructure on university owned and leased spaces, both on and off campus. NetCom provides campus with the design and installation of structured cabling systems. Structured cabling is used for all voice, data and video applications within a building. A building's structured cabling system is permanent fixture, and can be thought of as a utility. Structured cabling is also required to connect buildings on campus to the campus backbone or to other building networks.
The NetCom structured cabling group is a team of trained, experienced cable installers and fiber engineers who know and understand the University's structured cabling system and the campus. University departments needing reliable and cost-effective cabling, put our knowledge and experience to work for you!
