Updating the Online Campus Directory - Staff

The online campus directory is made up of information extracted from the PeopleSoft data repository managed by Administrative Computing Services (ACS). This is also the authoritative source for Global Address List information in the UMail system.
All changes to campus directory information are updated through Human Resources in the PeopleSoft database. Because there are several steps involved, it can take up to a few weeks for some changes to be reflected. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t see your changes right away.
Payroll Reporters
All campus directory information changes except email address changes need to be done by your Payroll Reporter within the Campus Information System (CIS) or by updating the employee's PAN form. These items include home department and job title.
Your Payroll Reporter can make changes or corrections to- your email address,
- our work location,
- and your work phone number
PAN FORM:
The correct place to correct a work telephone number is in the Work Phone field on line 4 in the PAY section.
ONLINE:
To correct a work telephone number, the Payroll reporter should go into D-Jobs and update the directory information (by selecting the U). This does update the number in PeopleSoft as well as the campus directory.
*DO NOT USE the Business Phone in the CNTCT section under Other Phone Type and Other Phone Number. These are Personal phone numbers and are not posted to the Campus Directory or the UMail GAL.
Employees
The employee also has the ability to change your own email address through the CIS. Individuals may update their email addresses in the online campus directory themselves by going to the Campus Information System at http://www.cis.utah.edu and following the instructions there.
