Basic Analog Service
Centron analog service is referred to as plain old telephone service (POTS), providing dial tone and access to nationwide and international carriers. An added value of this offering via the campus Centrex system is custom calling features. Included in the custom calling feature package is three-way calling, call forward, speed dialing and call waiting at no additional monthly cost. This service is available for on-campus phones.
Digital Service
Centrex digital service provides dial tone and access to nationwide and international carriers. The digital centron line provides more flexibility and features than the standard analog line. Included in the custom calling feature packages, you may add additional lines at a minimal charge, have more than one line appearance of your department's published number for more efficient call handling, and a visual message waiting indicator to let you know that you have voice messages waiting. The digital centron line also provides you the capability of having your own department intercom group so reaching your co-worker is made simple. With line security, anyone trying to use the same line cannot barge-in on your call, with multiple line appearances; you will be able to see if the line is in use or not in use. The digital centron line can enhance your office call handling in a more efficient and timely manner.
