Conference Calling

kinds of conference calls

There are two kinds of conference calls that can be made at the University of Utah: a station dial conference where the caller initiates the conference call, and conference calls through Verizon.

Station Dial Conference Calls

A station dial conference call can have up to six parties--five conferees plus the originator. Any or all of the five conferees can be outside of the University system. See "How to Make a Station Dial Conference Call". If you need to connect more than 6, contact a Service Coordinator at 1-4000 option 2 to set you up for conference calling through Verizon.

If you have a Meridian Business phone set, setting up a six-way conference call is the same process as setting up a three-way conference call. We can program the option on your phone through the computer and have a technician label the key for you. Call 1-4000 and press option 2 to have this option programmed.
