Voicemail - Unified Messaging - Change Email Password

open the voicemail website by clicking the button below or going to this url:

Enter the following:

  • User Name: Enter your 5 digit extension number (without the hyphen)

  • Password: Enter numeric voice mail password (same password used when retrieving voice mail messages via the telephone)

In the upper left hand corner:

  • Click on Mailboxes

  • Click on Email Accounts

 

 

 

Inside the Account 1 section change the password to your NEW UMail (Outlook) password and make sure the other items are complete as follows:

  • Server:� Enter in your e-mail server address
    UMail (Outlook/Exchange): imap.umail.utah.edu
  • User ID:
    UMail (Outlook/Exchange): uNID@umail.utah.edu

NOTE: Your uNID is your employee ID number with a lower case "u" in place of the first zero.

  • Password: Enter your NEW UMail (Outlook) password*

  • Click on the box next to Delete Voice
  • Synchronize msgs: click on Unseen
  • Timeout (seconds): Enter 100
  • Click on Verify to make sure the information you entered is correct.

    • If it is not correct you will receive an error message.
    If it is correct you will see "Account 1: SSL Verification successful" in the space to the right of the extension number.

  • To save your settings, click on the hourglass/diskette icon

*IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR UMAIL CLIENT PASSWORD:
Any time you change your password in UMail (Outlook) you will need to access this T3 System website (https://voicemail.utah.edu) and record your new e-mail password in the Account 1 section as shown and described above. Be sure to click on verify as indicated above after changing your password.

For HSC employees, your network password is usually synched with your Outlook password. Therefore, if you change your network password, you will need to make this change.

 

After you have saved your changes by clicking on the hourglass/diskette icon:

  • Click on Exit in the upper right hand corner
