UOnline Blackboard
UOnline Blackboard (formerly WebCT) is an online course management system that allows instructors to post class material and interact with students online. It can be used for fully online classes that do not meet in person, or as an addition to traditional classes. Not all instructors use UOnline Blackboard, but a growing number do. UOnline Blackboard classes can have interactive assignments and quizzes, as well as show grades and feedback. Discussion and live chat tools can allow students to collaborate with each other and the instructor.
Approximately 1,800 University of Utah courses currently use WebCT to enhance traditional lecture-based instruction. You can log into UOnline Blackboard with your campus uNID and password.
There are several other online courseware tools that instructors can opt to use as well.
