To mark the U of U Health organizations’ achievement, UIT Partner Relations hosted a celebration with plenty of pizza, cybersecurity star T-shirts, and gratitude for the hard work that made it all possible.

UIT Partner Relations and ISO staff hosted a “cyberseminar” for master’s degree students aspiring for careers in the IT security field, and the College of Social and Behavioral Science recently became the sixth U organization to implement a suite of cybersecurity tools.

Five campus organizations have successfully implemented a suite of cybersecurity tools, fulfilling a primary requirement of the University of Utah Cybersecurity Program. These “cybersecurity superstars” were celebrated recently with pizza from Pie Pizzeria and T-shirts provided by UIT.

Every Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., a cross-functional team of subject matter experts meets online to field questions around the University of Utah Cybersecurity Program, which includes the unit-level implementation of a suite of cybersecurity tools.

Commissioned by the Office of the President and Board of Regents, a multiphased, campus-wide cybersecurity initiative is now underway. The program involves the implementation of new cybersecurity tools at a college/department/organization-level.
