The Strategic Information Technology Committee (SITC) met on July 14. The IT Architecture and New Technology Committee (ANTC) met on July 27. The Enterprise Web Advisory Council (EWAC) will meet again on August 13. SITC will reconvene September 8, while ANTC will meet again on September 28. The next Teaching and Learning Portfolio (TLP) meeting date is to be determined.

Security upgrades will impact UMail and Microsoft app users

Starting in July 15, 2020, UIT will begin implementing Microsoft modern authentication and, in a phased approach, two-factor authentication (2FA) for UMail and university-licensed Microsoft applications. The U's IT professionals should be prepared to help users with the transition.

$2.7M slated for 5G-HR network testing at the U

The allocation is designated to perform tests on a live 5G-NR network at the U's POWDER wireless testbed, including whether two mobile carriers can occupy the same Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) channel using an artificial intelligence engine.
